Ingredients⭕


For the Pizza Dough:✅


3½ cups (450g) all-purpose flour or bread flour

1½ tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

1 packet (7g) dry active yeast

1¼ cups (300ml) warm water (not hot)

2 tbsp olive oil


For the Pizza Sauce:✅


1 cup canned San Marzano tomatoes (or any peeled tomatoes)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 garlic clove (crushed)

Salt to taste

A pinch of sugar (optional)

Fresh basil leaves (optional)


Toppings:✅


200g fresh mozzarella (preferably buffalo mozzarella), sliced

Fresh basil leaves

Olive oil for drizzling


Instructions⭕


Step 1: Prepare the Dough✅


1. In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.


2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.


3. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix to form a dough.


4. Knead on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.


5. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size.


Step 2: Make the Sauce✅


1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.


2. Add crushed garlic and sauté briefly (don’t brown).


3. Add tomatoes, salt, and a pinch of sugar.


4. Simmer for 15–20 minutes. Crush the tomatoes with a spoon or blend briefly for a smoother texture.


5. Add a few torn basil leaves if desired. Let cool.


Step 3: Shape and Top the Pizza✅


1. Preheat your oven to 250°C (480°F) or as high as it goes. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.


2. Divide the dough in two. Roll or stretch each piece into a 10–12 inch circle.


3. Place on a floured pizza peel or baking tray.


4. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce.


5. Add slices of mozzarella.


6. Add fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil.


Step 4: Bake


1. Bake each pizza for 7–10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
